Friends of ACTS, may peace be with you!
With new buds constantly sprouting on the branches and clusters of blossoming flowers, the breath of spring flows sweetly across the earth. Today, we want to introduce to you about the vibrant and thriving next generation of ACTS elite soldiers, just like the lively and energetic spring season.
Gigi Hsu and Tom Fan
In summer of 2010, the high school Gigi and Tom went on a mission trip to Togo with Pastor James for the first time. This special experience left a deep impression on them, and since then they have been actively involved in African missions work. Today, they are both working hard in their respective fields of expertise and are also important co-workers of ACTS. Tom is a member of the ACTS Board, and Gigi is responsible for the North American administration of ACTS’ medical ministry. We are very grateful for their help and moved by their willingness to devote themselves in the prime of their adulthood to African missions.
Winston and Nathan are students at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. They have been serving at the River of Life Clinic in Togo for about two weeks in March, assisting with medical work and providing valuable advices. They are also learning about the overall healthcare system and health conditions in Togo. They both grew up in the Silicon Valley, and Winston is a young man who grew up in the Children and Youth Ministry of the River of Life Christian Church. With a heart for healing and helping people, they have not forgotten about Africa even though it is far away and less developed. They applied specifically to serve at the River of Life Clinic in Togo, hoping to better understand the medical situation in Africa and contribute their efforts. May the gospel spread far through their healing work!
Enoch Wang
Enoch is the son of Pastor James Wang. He has been watching his father go on missions to Africa every year since he was a child. At the age of 13, he can finally go on an African mission trip with his father. Enoch is very interested in African culture. He interviewed some local people and gained a deeper understanding of the thoughts and culture of people in Togo. He also participated in local activities and recorded them on video, hoping to let people know more about Togolese culture . His first mission trip to Togo was a very enriching experience and he looks forward to sharing more exciting African missions with everyone as he continues to grow.
May God continue to lead them on their journey ahead, walking with them every step of their way, and extending the flame of the gospel. Every work done for the Lord is a channel of God’s grace and blessing!
Now, let’s watch the Togolese food and dance culture through the video that Enoch has filmed!
