Five Health Stations Open in Togo

Shalom, dear friends of ACTS!

As the summer arrives with scorching sun, it feels a lot like Africa! We praise the Lord that it was the warm summer season when ACTS was established 10 years ago! We are excited to invite you to our 10th anniversary celebration on November 3rd, 2024 – 3pm at Redwood City’s Fox Theater. It will be the day when we premiere the ACTS 10th Anniversary Documentary. Besides, our local leaders from ACTS TOGO will be here with us to share their stories. Please SAVE THE DATE and do not miss to celebrate together!

Followings are a few updates of our works:

Five Health Stations Open in Togo

Thanks to the Jiayi Christian Hospital’s 2019 Medical Short-Term Mission Team’s proposal, the Health Station project began in 2022. Training was initiated by Jiayi Hospital’s doctors and then continued with the medical team in River of Life Clinic in Lome. One by one, 3 stations for River of Life Churches in Togo and 2 stations of Taiwan Shilin Truth Church were implemented. Each small station is the fruit of precious cooperation between the United States, Asia and Africa! The services currently provided by each health station include: public health education and promotion, malaria and blood sugar rapid screening services, ascariasis medicine, and vitamins for pregnant women, infants and children.

Now, in addition to the River of Life Clinic in Lome, the capital of Togo, the health stations can provide basic medical care in remote areas of Togo, West Africa! May God use these five stations to spread the Gospel meant for whole persons – body, mind and soul, and to participate in the transformation of communities. Please also pray for the future development of the health station, that each can become a vessel for the gospel to reach the unreached.

ACTS29 Campus Purchase Project

Please keep the project in your prayers! We have reached the final negotiation and legal process with the landlord. We hope to see that ACTS TOGO can freely grow and expand on their own land and become the headquarters of the dream incubator of many more young Togolese!

August Togo Mission Team

From 7/31 to 8/12, Pastor James Wang will lead a 15-people team to Togo. The mission is to visit medical clinics, health stations, synagogues, children’s homes, and lead a youth summer camp. Besides praying for safe travel, we wish to build stronger relationships with local churches and partners! This time Pastor James will also participate in the graduation ceremony of the ACTS and deliver a speech and prayer to 3,000 people. There will also be live broadcasting on television. May the Holy Spirit touch every graduate and guests, and make all people disciples of the Lord.
