Friends of ACTS Ministry, Peace to you!
In the warmth and new blooms of this spring season, we rejoice in sharing with you the glad tidings of the flourishing ministries of ACTS.
The move of Togo Africa Career Training School to the new location at the beginning of the year has been smooth. Equipped with the new amenities at the new facility, the school is all set to provide students with a superior learning environment. May God bless the students’ learning with rich knowledge, plentiful skills and delight!
The progress of the Togo Medical Clinic is also exceptionally smooth. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by the end of March once the final engineering inspection before licensing is approved. The appraisal and procurement of medical supplies and equipment as well as an active recruitment of local medical and administrative staff to build a team to operate the clinic are all being actively carried out.
On April 6-17, Pastor James Wang will lead a group of 12 people to West Africa. The unprecedented short-term mission team includes six members from River of Life Church, Dr. Chen Changwen from the Bread of Life Christian Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, and Pastor Wu Ying-Ping, Chairman of the Board, leading five medical personnel from Jiayi Christian Hospital. In addition to the pastor, there are three doctors, one nurse, a public health director, a high-tech company consultant, dietitian, music teacher, and other participating professionals.
The mission team will partner with River of Life Christian Church in Togo and ACTS (Africa Career Training School), visiting the Togo Department of Health and local hospitals, host public health seminars and offer free medical services to spread the love of Christ. The preparations for this mission is particularly exciting because it is an effort involving peoples of four languages, coming from four different time zones. This open passage to Togo has never before been witnessed in history! God is orchestrating wonderful new things!
An additional exciting news is that ACTS has officially become a state government and the IRS approved non-profit organization. The registered name is ROL-ACTS and all donations are tax deductible. Thank you for walking alongside with us through your financial and spiritual support! So far we have received 55,000 dollars. We hope that we can collect the fundraising goal of 300,000 dollars for the school and clinic project.
