Thank you again for your continuous support and prayers for ACTS. We have some exciting updates that we wanted to share with you!
ACTS Update
We have 102 students attending ACTS in year of 2018! And this year we have added Management Administration and Film Directing courses. Starting next year, we will be moving to a new building with upgraded computer classes.
We have continued to build on our great relationships with local community leaders. With their support, doors are being opened for medical services and education that can potentially change the whole outlook of medicine in Togo. We have a bright 2019 to look forward to.
Medical Building Project
Starting March, 2018, we started to collaborate with the local medical clinic under River of Life Togo, and this new chapter of “Africa Medical Mission” has officially launched. After the initial funding was sent in mid-November, the hospital building project is going very well. Construction has already begun and the aim is to have it completed by April 2019. This perfectly coincides with when the 2019 Togo Medical Mission trip will take place!
Starting December, the health department will begin inspection of the site. If 3 inspections are passed within 6 months, the hospital will become a certified medical entity that can provide medical services nationwide! This would allow the hospital to apply for medical service permits for international medical professionals.
That would then be the springboard towards some of the long term goals. Once the hospital is running well, we would begin medical education courses via ACTS. This would then build into the vision of having 100 clinics throughout Togo!
Current Prayer Requests:
- Smooth transition of moving into the new building and preparation for great breakthrough for the 2019 school year.
- That everything would go smoothly and safely for the hospital building project, and all inspections will pass without issue
- Togo medical crew will be prepared to operate the hospital by the time the hospital opens.
- The fundraising for the building project would be completed on time.
- Overseas medical teams will be ready to visit and support.
- Dr. Chen from Tennessee will visit to be a consultant to the construction and local medical teams. Praying for a fruitful trip.
